What, you wanted a normal bio? Fine. Here you go:
J. J. Hanna is a writer and editor from Centennial, Colorado. She graduated Taylor University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Writing, and loves the publishing industry immensely. She is passionate about helping others reach their full potential through writing, editing, design, or platform development. In her free time you can find her baking, working out, reading a new suspense novel, or drinking coffee (sometimes all at the same time). She loves anything that will give her an adrenaline rush, and is always looking for the next great suspense novel.
Who are you?
That's a good question. In a nutshell, I am a writer, reader, editor, and nerd who most prefers thrillers and suspense novels and adventure stories.
What do you do in your spare time?
I write novels, run a Mary Kay business, work as a barista, watch TV shows, play DnD or Pathfinder, and read new books.
What fandoms are you in?
Oh boy . . . Supernatural, Arrow, Doctor Who, Harry Potter, Riverdale, Loki, Marvel, Firefly, Leverage, White Collar, Nikita, Gravity Falls, Lord of the Rings, Sherlock. . . I'm sure there are more, I just can't think of them right now.
Why are you a qualified editor?
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Writing from Taylor University, where I not only learned the mechanics of how to edit, write, and get published, but I also practiced everything I learned on my peer's manuscripts.
As for my editing skills, please see my services page for testimonials.
Where do you want to be in five years?
Good question. I'll let you know when I get there. For now, I'd like to explore other areas of writing/editing/entertainment, such as being a literary agent or writing for TV shows.
Is writing the only art you create?
Amazingly, no. I also enjoy graphic art and photo manipulation. Photoshop and InDesign are two of my favorite ways to pass time, as well as video editing (see my YouTube channel). I also knit on occasion and dabble in painting.
Can I write you an email?
